Sunday Walk: Edition 1

Today I went for a lovely Sunday walk with a friend and her adorable son. It was wonderful to hunt for spring blossoms and color, talk, and just enjoy the beautiful spring weather.

Trying to figure out the bubbles. I totally know how he feels.

His expressions are priceless!

I loved how this mom and son say "Cheeser!" when they take a picture. :)

Beautiful, beautiful eyelashes.

My soul loves these kinds of days.

la vie en rose

Have you taken some time for yourself today? Did you stop and enjoy the beauty around you? I get caught up in the day to day routine and forget to look for the good in my life...and then something small reminds me...like a crinkled up, dried, little rose blossom.

You can buy this print HERE.

Caitlin & Sean ~ Utah Engagement Photographer

It feels so wonderful again to be behind the camera...I can't tell you how long this winter has seemed! This couple was a joy to work with and so cute together! I love working with couples that are comfortable together...it makes for such an enjoyable shoot and beautiful candids. Wishing you two all the best!

Color

Color.

After a long and dreary winter, any color is very welcome.

I'm taking a friend's advice and shooting for myself this week. And I'm going to find what little color there is in Utah this time of year. You just wait.

The Wood Family :: Utah Family Photographer

Meet the Woods.

I love these little girls. I love their gorgeous hair. I love how their parents are still so head-over-heels in love after six years of marriage and two children. I love their bright colors and their zest for life. I love the beautiful St. George red-rock  and whimsical orchard. I love everything about this wonderful family and am so happy I was able to travel to southern Utah to capture their fabulous personalities.

Do you now love them as much as I do?

Wes & Rachel: Utah Wedding Photographer

Where do I start with this wedding? Everything was absolutely perfect.

Let me begin by telling you how we met.

Rachel is very close friends with one of my previous brides. In fact, she tagged along to this bridal session, and I just loved her fun personality and zest for life! I was so pleased to get an email from her a few weeks later asking me to document her own big day.

I didn't meet Wes until the morning of the wedding, and I was so impressed with his obvious adoration for his bride. Since photography is not allowed during LDS temple wedding ceremonies, the first time we spoke was right after this lovely couple was pronounced husband and wife. I remember offering my hand to introduce myself, and instead Wes exclaimed, "I'm so happy! It's so good to meet you!" And then he proceeded to give me a bear hug. I just knew this was a special couple and that they were going to be very happy together!

After doing family and couple portraits at the Salt Lake City LDS temple, my husband {who makes the occasional appearance as my assistant} and I hopped in the car and began the long drive to Orangeville, UT where a beautiful, charming backyard reception awaited us. I couldn't get over the fact that we had to take a dirt road to get there! We were greeted by an oasis of quaint gardens and whimsical fields filled to the brim with yellow sagebrush. It was beautiful.

In addition to their obvious love for each other, I was so impressed with this couple's love for family. I recently found out that Wes' sister, Natasha, was diagnosed with stage four melanoma cancer. Within hours, Rachel, Wes, and their family members formed this organization to help raise money for Tasha's cancer treatments. Check out their facebook page and blog to follow her journey and to find out how to help. Wishing you all the best!

Ciao Bella!
