One Fine Day

I treated myself to a lovely garden bunch while I was at Costco today. Coral, pale pink, fuschia, and white spray carnations...beautiful. And yes, I did call carnations beautiful. So many people dismiss them as a "tacky" flower (which I agree can sometimes be). But what they don't realize is when you group them together in monochromatic schemes, they look like gorgeous, ruffly roses or peonies! Who knew. :)

I wanted to take the time to say a little thank you to all my past clients, it has been such a wonderful year! I have so enjoyed documenting your wedding days, engagement sessions, bridal sessions, family sessions, and even a handful of newborn sessions. I'm grateful that you would entrust me to capture those memories for you. Photography brings me so much joy...it has not only been a creative outlet but a means of self-expression. Reunions

My father recently returned home from Afghanistan for a two-week R&R retreat. When my mother drove to the airport to pick him up, she saw him standing there - in full military uniform - holding a single daffodil. I don't think it gets more romantic than that!
