Oh how I love this family! I honestly feel like I have the best clients in the world...they go with my zany ideas and completely own it! This family told me they loved going on picnics, so that's what we did. They braved the cold {8am on a spring morning in Utah can be a bit chilly!} and wet grass and I think the pictures that resulted are priceless. I love the candids that are captured when you give a family something to engage in. It makes me smile just thinking about it. :)

Sunday Walk: Edition 1
Today I went for a lovely Sunday walk with a friend and her adorable son. It was wonderful to hunt for spring blossoms and color, talk, and just enjoy the beautiful spring weather.
Trying to figure out the bubbles. I totally know how he feels.
His expressions are priceless!
Beautiful, beautiful eyelashes.
My soul loves these kinds of days.

my brother.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight.
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright.

Los Angeles, CA Wedding Photographer: Part I
There is just something so fun and special about documenting the "preparation" process the morning of a wedding. I love the way the light slowly fills the room as the sun rises...the way the bride looks at her mom as the hair stylist applies the finishing touches. I love photographing the ring, the dress, the shoes...everything! I wish all my brides would choose to have these pictures taken...they are so poignant and beautiful.
Stay tuned for Parts II and III of this destination wedding!

Provo, Utah ~ Utah Family Portrait Photgraphy
You might recognize this cute family...they've graced this blog several times in the past two years. I have watched their little girl grow up into a sweet, vivacious toddler...and consider her to be practically my own niece! We only had about fifteen minutes before sunset and had to dodge the rain, but I thought their portraits still turned out beautifully. Enjoy!

best. friends. forever.
Meet Ashley.
We go way back.
First it was the high school sleepovers, volleyball trips, late night chats, laughing our heads off...then it we became college roommates: teeny tiny dorm rooms, dating tons of boys (haha), planning out our lives, complaining about early morning classes, and sleeping every minute of the day. Now we text and call and still get together for sleepovers and chick flick marathons.
Not much has changed.
And I like that.
