My husband and I recently went on a camping trip and had the most wonderful time. I was in AWE at the beauty of rural Utah...I'll admit I didn't know how beautiful it could be! We witnessed an owl rescue that was truly remarkable...the baby Great Horned Owl fell into a nearby creek and was trapped under the water by a collection of sticks and mud. One of the guy's in our group jumped a barbed wire fence, dove into the freezing water and pulled out the drowning bird just in time. After a few hours of towel warming, he was ready to be released back into the wild. It was a camping trip to remember!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer! Please email hellobeautifulphotography@gmail.com if you are interested in booking a session.

  1. I love these shots Cate, and the owl story is a treasure. The shot with the stream and the horse makes me want to jump on a plane and head for Utah - I just love the expansiveness of the States, and these shots really capture that.
